Georgetown County firefighters, and the South Carolina Forestry Commission are on the scene of a brush fire. It is in the area of White Hall Road and CCC Road off of Highway 17 south of Maryville. It is "growing rapidly," according to reports from the scene. It is causing a traffic problem because of the fire trucks - and because of smoke in the area. At least two power polls have caught fire.
