Mt. carmel missionary baptist church: Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting its Menís Day Program, 100 Men in Action, at 4 p.m. The featured speaker is Rev. Jacques C. Wright, young adult pastor at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston.

Greater St. stephen ame church: Licentaite Beverly Burgess of Singleton AME Church will speak at the 10:07 a.m. service. The 4 p.m. Lenten service speaker will be Rev. Alfred L. Buckener from St. John AME Church in Pawleys Island. Greater st. sTephen AME Church is located at 2807 Highmarket St., Georgetown.

Georgetown Area Daylily Club: William Marchant, owner of Druid City Daylilies, will give a presentation on his very impressive and multi-faceted daylily hybridizing program (druidcitydaylilies.blogspot.com) during the meeting of the Georgetown Area Daylily Club. Bethesda Missionary baptist church: The senior missionary auziliary of Bethesday Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating Missionary Day in a candlelight service at 5 p.m. Come dressed in your white with a red corsage and brothers in their white suits with red ties. The church is located at 225 Wood St., Georgetown.

VFW DINNER: VFW Post 6444, its Ladies Auxiliary and guests will have dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Adults, $7; children 6 to 12, $3; and under 5 years of age, free. Front street merchant forum: There will be a Front Street merchant strategic planning session from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Georgetown Historical Museum.

Tax-aide program: AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers offer free, individualized tax help to low and moderate income taxpayers. Volunteers will be at the Georgetown Library on Tuesdays Feb. 4 through April 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Thursdays Feb. 6 through April 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. They will be at the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library on Tuesdays Feb. 4 through April 8 from 1 to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays Feb. 5 through April 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

BREAKFAST: The public is invited to Andrews Community Prayer Breakfast at Antonioís, 13 E. Main St. in Andrews, at 6 a.m.
