U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary: Flotilla 12-10 of Georgetown meets the first Wednesday of every month. Are you looking for a volunteer position that puts you in touch with the boating community? Members participate in safety patrols, vessel examinations and safe boating courses. They also attend community events such as the Wooden Boat Show to keep people aware of safe boating practice. single moms: The Georgetown Outreach Ministries, Inc. offers weekly empowering sessions helping young single moms prepare for the workforce, develop positive attitudes, enhance decision making skills, become economically viable and develop stable, healthy families. first thursday program: The Friends of the Waccamaw Library will be having their first Thursday program at the Waccamaw Neck Branch Library at 7 p.m. Representatives from a few local community theaters will share their 2014 performance plans.
