The First Tee of the Grand Strand, which brings golf and character education to Georgetown County third- and fourth-graders, is starting an after-school program to reach more children.
Ten weeks of classes will be offered for kids ages 7-14 at three sites in Georgetown and Horry counties: Willbrook Golf Club, Conway Country Club and Crown Park Golf Club.
Willbrook classes will be Mondays starting March 17.
Conway classes will be Thursdays starting March 20.
Crown Park classes will be Fridays starting March 21.
All classes are 4-5:30 p.m.
Cost is $25 per child for 10 classes. Classes that are rained out or cancelled will not be made-up.
Clubs will be provided if kids do not have their own and scholarships are available.
Parents can register children at www.thefirstteethegrandstrand.org.
Registration will also be available on the first day of classes if space is available. Maximum class size is 16 kids.
Parents bringing checks on the first day of class should make them payable to The First Tee of The Grand Strand.
