Storm debris cleanup in progress

  • Thursday, February 27, 2014

Photo courtesy of Georgetown County Georgetown County is still in the early phases of storm debris cleanup, but a huge amount of debris has already been brought into the county landfill on Highway 51. This photos shows just a portion of the material that has been delivered and is being chipped so it can be put to some use later. County residents who have storm debris that needs to be picked up are reminded to place all loose (unbagged) vegetative storm debris in the public right-of-way. Only unbagged vegetative debris will be picked up. Call 545-3999 with any debris-related questions.
