The Greater Burgess Community Association is seeking volunteers to hit the neighborhood roads with bag and gloves March 15 during the organization’s community cleanup.
The event begins with registration – and breakfast biscuit and coffee -- at the South Strand Recreation Center. Volunteers will be transported to the main roads – Holmestown, McDowell Shortcut and Bay roads, among others, to clean up debris and litter.
Safety vests, bags and gloves will be provided.
People who register before Feb. 27 get a T-shirt, the mini breakfast and a lunch snack. Volunteers younger than 18 require a waiver by a parent or guardian. Registration can be completed by going to the organization’s homepage http://greaterburgesscommunity.org/index.php, and clicking on the “Contact” tab.
When registering, list the name, e-mail address, phone number and T-shirt size for each volunteer.
