  • Wednesday, February 26, 2014

The Greater Burgess Community Association is seeking volunteers to hit the neighborhood roads with bag and gloves March 15 during the organization’s community cleanup.

The event begins with registration – and breakfast biscuit and coffee -- at the South Strand Recreation Center. Volunteers will be transported to the main roads – Holmestown, McDowell Shortcut and Bay roads, among others, to clean up debris and litter.

Safety vests, bags and gloves will be provided.

People who register before Feb. 27 get a T-shirt, the mini breakfast and a lunch snack. Volunteers younger than 18 require a waiver by a parent or guardian. Registration can be completed by going to the organization’s homepage, and clicking on the “Contact” tab.

When registering, list the name, e-mail address, phone number and T-shirt size for each volunteer.
