Roadside debris removal in Georgetown County under way; jobs available for local residents

  • Wednesday, February 26, 2014

Georgetown County government, through debris removal contractors, began picking up debris left over from Winter Storm Pax from the roadside this week. Though the process is moving forward, the county’s debris monitoring firm, Thompson Consulting Services, needs to hire at least 20 more local residents to work as monitors to help work proceed more quickly.

Interested candidates may apply for these jobs online at or by calling 843-503-8092.

Please leave a name and contact information. Thompson will return your call to provide you with a hiring/onboarding and training session time and location. A deadline for residents to set out storm related debris will be established in the near future.

For more information about debris removal, call (843) 545-3999 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
