Two people in custody in Heather Elvis case

Two people are in custody Friday in the Heather Elvis case.

The two were taken into custody after officials from the Horry County Police Department, the State Law Enforcement Division, the 15th Circuit Solicitorís Office, the U.S. Marshalís Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at 8786 SC 814, about 12 miles north of Garden City.

Information gathered from previous surveillance tapes led to the warrant, said Horry County Police Lt. Robert Kegler in a news release. As of 10 a.m. Friday, no charges had been filed.

Elvis, 20, was last heard from in the early morning hours of Dec. 18. Her car was found in Socastee the following. Day.
