Cubit Vereen, age 94, of 214 Cubit Vereen Dr. Hemingway, SC
Beverly Lynn Hemrick Ackerman, 54, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014.
Born on February 21, 1959, in Winston Salem, NC, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. Hemrick and the late Phyllis Hester Beeson. Ms. Ackerman attended Pawleys Island Community Church. She enjoyed going to the beach, watching NASCAR and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Roger D. Ackerman of Georgetown, Joshua Ackerman of Georgetown and Jason Ackerman of Florence; four grandchildren, Alexa Ackerman, Brilyn Ackerman, Skylar Ackerman, and Joshua B. Ackerman, Jr.; two sisters, Marilyn Fenters (Jimmy) of Murrells Inlet and Renee Miller of Socastee; one brother, Kenneth Beeson of Andrews; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Ron Walker of Pawleys Island.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Beeson.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Archie Myers, 65, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Brown Chapel United Methodist Church, Murrells Inlet, SC conducted by Rev. Charles Thomas. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2014 at Wilds Courtyard Chapel.
Mr. Myers was born on June 1, 1948 in Murrells Inlet, a son of Edward Myers and Mrs. Erma Bryant Myers. He was educated in Georgetown County public schools and was employed as a maintenance person in mobile home parks and restaurants.
Surviving are three sisters, Ms. Edlin Crawford of Fairfield, CA, Ms. Barbara Hasberry and Ms. Shirley Myers both of Murrells Inlet; six brothers, Joseph Myers, Melvin Myers, Willie Myers, and Michael Myers all of Murrells Inlet, James Myers of Troy, NY, and Najee Malik of Greensboro, NC.
Funeral services are entrustred to Wilds Funeral Home.
Bolie Richard Roberts, 63, of Hemingway, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014, in a Georgetown hospital.
Mr. Roberts was born in Georgetown, SC, a son of the late Irvin Wilbur and Julia Marsh Roberts. He was retired from the Georgetown Steel Mill after 27 years of service as a roffin roller. He also enjoyed fast cars and motorcycles.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Parrott Roberts; children, Michelle R. (Greg) Lilly and Bobby Roberts; grandchildren, Courtney N. Roberts, Jessica M. Smith and Keith A. Lilly; great-grandsons, Jordan Weaver and Emmit Stalter; brothers Chester (Sissy) Roberts and Lester (Tammy) Roberts; sister, Josephine (Frank) Matthews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Wilbert Lee Roberts; sister, Mary Lou Turner.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Hemingway with burial in the Old Field Cemetery.
