A man and a woman are in custody in connection with the Heather Elvis case, news partner WBTW posted on its website Friday.
The station identified the pair as Sydney Moorer, 37, and his wife, Tammy Moorer, who live at 8786 SC 814, about 12 miles north of Garden City.
Early Friday, officials from the Horry County Police Department, the State Law Enforcement Division, the 15th Circuit Solicitorís Office, the U.S. Marshalís Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at the address.
The pair, who were taken into custody, have not been charged, according to Lt. Robert Kegler of the Horry County Police Department.
Elvis, 20 last heard from in the early morning hours of Dec. 18. Her car was found in Socastee the following day.
