Area resident named to Deanís List at Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. Ė Robert M. West of Pawleys Island has been named to the Deanís List for the fall 2013 semester at Virginia Tech. To qualify for the Deanís List, students must attempt at least 12 credit hours graded on the A-F option and earn a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.

Local student honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel

CHARLESTONĖ Sean Edward McLoughlin was recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel.

During the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year, Sean earned one of the collegeís top academic honors - a Gold Star. Gold Star honors are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semesterís course work. Students that achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on The Citadelís Deanís List.
