Screven Baptist sets up shower unit for people without electricity

  • Thursday, February 13, 2014

In an effort to help those without electricity, Screven Baptist Church in Maryville, in conjunction with the Southeast Baptist Association, has portable shower units set up and available to the public.

They have six units (three for men and three for women) and welcome anyone affected by electrical outages who wants a hot shower to go to the church from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Towels will be made available, but people should bring their own toiletries.

The church is located at 2221 South Island Road, Georgetown.
