Scott Harper/SSN Louanne Jorgenson teaches her students on the 101st day.

The kindergarten class of Louanne Jorgenson at Waccamaw Elementary School celebrated the 101st day of school Thursday, Feb. 5 by dressing up like characters from Disney’s 101 Dalmnatians movie. Each student not only dressed up but had to bring in boxes containing 101 items. Kindergarten teachers use the time around the 100th day of school to teach counting. The 101st day was delayed because of the three days missed due to the winter storm two weeks ago.
