Casey Michelle Whittington and Benjamin Luke Simmons were married on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Timberlake Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Rev. Benjy Simmons, father of the groom, performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Buddy and Cindy Whittington of Myrtle Beach.
She is the granddaughter of Bobby and Eleanor Brigham, the late Charles L. Flohr Jr. and the late Gene Whittington, all of Myrtle Beach.
The groom is the son of Benjy and Renee Simmons of Myrtle Beach. He is the grandson of Earl and Connie Shelley of Georgetown and the late Billy and Gay Simmons of Myrtle Beach.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
The maid of honor was Sarah Whittington, sister of the bride, of Myrtle Beach.
Bridesmaids were Shelley Simmons, sister of the groom, of Myrtle Beach, Amy Duda, cousin of the bride, of Albion, Pennsylvania, Melissa Rathel of Lancaster, S.C., and Shannon McKinney of Myrtle Beach.
Junior bridesmaid was Sydney Kimball, cousin of the bride, of Myrtle Beach.
Jacob Simmons, brother of the groom, of Myrtle Beach was the best man.
Groomsmen were Charlie Whittington, brother of the bride, of Myrtle Beach, Charley Baxley, cousin of the groom, of Conway, S.C., Justin Rathel of Lancaster, and Patrick Shelley, cousin of the groom, of Georgetown.
Junior groomsman was Clay Prudhomme, cousin of the groom, of Georgetown.
Reagan Shelley, cousin of the groom, of Georgetown was the flower girl.
Honorary guests were John Henry Brown of Myrtle Beach and Mary Margaret Chason, cousin of the bride, of Albion, Pa.
Chandler McCune of Myrtle Beach was the vocalist, singing “At Last” by Etta James and “Spend Another Night” by Billy Gilman.
A reception was held at Lakewood Conference Center in Myrtle Beach.
The bride is a graduate of Horry Georgetown Technical College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant.
She is employed as shift leader at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and Restaurant in Murrells Inlet.
The groom is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University where he received a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration and Business Management.
He is employed as Operations Director with Chick-fil-A in Murrells Inlet.
Following a honeymoon in Florida, Ben and Casey will reside in Myrtle Beach.
