A 39-year-old Georgetown man is wanted in connection with an armed robbery and kidnapping that occurred Thursday morning.

Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson says deputies are asking for help from the public in locating Jimmy Cagle of 229 Tailwater Trail.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Cagle “held a knife to the victim’s throat and

took the victim’s wallet. While continuing to hold a knife to the victim’s throat, Cagle

demanded the victim drive him around Georgetown to various locations. Cagle fled the

scene with an undisclosed amount of cash before sheriff’s deputies arrived. The victim was not injured during the incident,” Cuthbertson wrote in a press release with revealing the gender of the victim.

Cagle is described as 5-foot-10-inches in height and weighing 220 pounds.

He has three active Assault & Battery Third Degree warrants with the sheriff’s office on unrelated cases,” Cuthbertson states.

“Cagle is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached,” Cuthbertson wrote.

Anyone with any information relating to the whereabouts of Jimmy Cagle is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 546-5101.
