On Tuesday, Feb. 18, “Dining For A Cause” will return to Murrells Inlet when Salt Water Creek Café will open its doors to diners in support of Miss Ruby’s Kids. Located at 4660 Hwy 17 Bypass, Salt Water Creek is an area restaurant popular with locals and visitors alike.

Owners Keith and Wendy Wolff offer an upscale, yet casual dining experience in the spacious, comfortable dining room with a double-sided fireplace, or on the attractive outdoor patio. The atmosphere is relaxing and homey, and the food is delicious. The menu has a wide variety of choices at both lunch and dinner. The She Crab soup is famous and it is recommended that you order a bowl, not a cup. There is a unique combination of menu items that are sure to satisfy any palate. Lunch and dinner offer a large selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees, including mussels, oysters, grilled shrimp and grit cakes. Diners will have a hard time choosing from a variety of salads, sandwiches, pizza, and dinner entrees, which include several beef entrees, crab cakes, chicken, seafood and a sushi bar. There is also a menu for children 12 years and under.

Salt Water Creek Café is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. serving lunch, early bird and dinner along with a Happy Hour. A delicious brunch menu is available on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Reservations are accepted by calling 357-2433.

Salt Water Creek Café joins a number of area restaurants that are participating in “Dining For a Cause” by offering a portion of their day’s proceeds to support the work of Miss Ruby’s Kids, an early childhood literacy program that was founded eleven years ago. The organization works with two and three-year-old children and their parents/care givers in the home and continues to support the children when they reach school age through the volunteer education mentor program.

Miss Ruby’s Kids looks forward to welcoming friends and neighbors from the community who will dine on Feb. 18 to show their support of the program and to thank Salt Water Creek Café for its participation.
