Two Georgetown County School Nurses Honored at SC School Nurse Convention

On Saturday, January 25, the annual SC School Nurse Convention was held in Columbia.

Patsy Lewis, School Nurse at Maryville Elementary School was named SC School LPN of the Year.

Kim Ward, Georgetown Middle School Nurse was a nominee for SC School RN of the Year.

Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Ward were selected at the local level by their GCSD School Nurse colleagues and nominated by Laura Tucker, Lead Nurse for the school district.

The award recipients were chosen by a panel of school nurses across the state of South Carolina.

Maryville Elementary Principal, Mrs. Stephanie Stuckey, along with several GCSD School Nurses attended the convention.
