The Georgetown County Library System and SCORE are offering a free workshop that can help you launch the business you always dreamed about.
“Are You Ready to Start Your Own Business?” teams SCORE experts with participants to iron out questions about their fledgling businesses.
The workshop is paid for with a Smart investing @ your library grant from the FINRA Foundation and the American Library Association and will be held on Feb. 5 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Georgetown Library Auditorium.
The workshop provides an overview of the major planning issues a new business must address to be successful.
Topics include: communicating your business idea, identifying your ideal customers, developing your market strategy and financial planning.
It is designed for people considering or in the early stages of starting a business.
SCORE is a national, all volunteer organization that mentors small businesses to start, grow and manage their business.
Last year, Grand Strand SCORE mentored 250 small businesses and delivered education programs to over 1000 more.
