Georgetown County schools begin two hours late Friday

On Friday, January 31, Georgetown County School District will open with a two-hour delay for students. Buses will run two hours later than normal, and classes will begin two hours later than normal. Employees will report to work one hour later than normal.

All after-school activities will be on a normal schedule. ***

Horry County schools are closed for students Friday.

Horry district and school employees who work 220 days or more are asked to report to work by 10 a.m., unless road conditions prevent safe travel.
