You’re so pretty

My sweet Autumn, my lovely green-eyed girl, is very smart and works very hard at school; she could probably work a bit harder but she is a kid.

But sometimes, she is a bit of an air head. Whenever she says something a bit ding-dongy, we tell her she is so pretty. She even makes herself laugh at some of the things she has said, once she realizes how silly they are.

Eric’s favorite thing to play is the McDonald’s Monopoly game. Loves it. The whole month he is “playing” he stinks like McDonald’s. It’s gross. In an effort to prove to me that this was paying off, he began listing all the things he had won so far. He said “I won the boys Big Macs and Autumn a parfait.” Before I could answer, Autumn chimed in and said “What? The boys get new computers and all I get is a dumb yogurt?”

Aw, Autumn you are so pretty.

She really thought that Eric was going to give the boys new Mac computers and only give her yogurt.

On New Year’s Eve the kids decided they would all stay up until the ball dropped at midnight. They all got their blankets and pillows out and settled on the couch. Autumn looked at Eric and says “I can’t wait for the New Year’s Eve Olympics to start.”

Aw, Autumn you’re so pretty.

She thought that the ball dropping was the beginning of the Winter Olympics. And, she didn’t even manage to stay awake to see the New Year’s Eve Olympics start.

When she was five she went through a phase where she would only wear tights and the more designs on them the better. I was helping her put them on and she kept trying to put them on backwards. Finally, I said “Autumn, this line across the toes tells us which way the tights go.” She looked at me with her big green eyes and said “My tights can talk?” Yes, dear girl you have the only pair of talking tights in the whole world.

Aw, Autumn you’re so pretty.

Autumn is a really talented girl. Anytime she tries something new, she catches on very quickly. But every once in awhile she makes us laugh and say “Aw, Autumn you’re so pretty.”
