Due to refreezing, black ice and dangerous road conditions in many parts of the county, there will be no school in Georgetown County School District for students or non-220 day or non-240 day employees on Thursday. All 220-day and 240-day employees should report to work by noon, unless road conditions prevent safe travel. A decision will be made Thursday afternoon regarding any potential changes to the schedule for Friday.
** Pawleys Island Christian Academy will be closed Thursday and will make a decision about Friday by 4 p.m.
** Georgetown County and the City of Georgetown offices and facilities will reopen Thursday on a two-hour delay.
** County Recreation facilities will close at 5 p.m. Thursday and there will be no evening games or programs.
** Lincare Respiratory in Georgetown will open on Thursday at 10am. Oxygen patients needing backup tanks or having equipment emergencies should continue to call 545-8036 and wait for the operator.
** Due to freezing temps all day & possible ice refreezing tonight, Georgetown Kraft Credit Union will open at 10am on Thursday.
