Front Street brainstorming session to be held Jan. 21

  • Friday, January 24, 2014

Creative ideas are needed to help revitalize downtown Georgetown.

Join in the GBA-sponsored Front Street Strategic Planning Session #2 to be held Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Georgetown Historical Museum on Broad Street

This brainstorming session, sponsored by GBA and the Chamber, is a follow-up to the planning meeting in October to enhance holiday season sales and draw more people to Front Street after the fire. The plan is to develop a strategy for the next six months and to assess the holiday initiatives while still fresh.

Agenda includes:

Review holiday season plan. What worked, what didn’t work and why. What to keep, what to change, and what to add for 2014

Assess the strengths of Front Street. List all the strengths (past and present) on Front Street. Identify ways to highlight the strengths to draw people downtown

Develop a strategic plan for January through July 2014. Brainstorm on ideas and potential events. Select most promising ideas. Identify people to lead and ways to implement the best ideas.
