The Franklin G. Burroughs and Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, in partnership with OLLI, will host an illustrated lecture on “Chagall in Israel” by Vivian Jacobson, followed by a book signing at the Museum, on Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Jacobson, who served in the ‘70s and ‘80s as a founding member, secretary and president of the American Friends of Chagall’s Biblical Message Museum in Nice, France, worked closely with the artist on major international projects during the last 11 years of his life.
Since 2001, she has traveled and lectured as an appointed speaker on Marc Chagall for the North Carolina Humanities Council Forum.
