Red Cross needs additional volunteers

  • Thursday, January 23, 2014

The American Red Cross invites the community to attend a New Volunteer Orientation to learn more about volunteer opportunities with the Red Cross. Orientations will be held at the Red Cross Chapter House at 104 Screven St. on Jan. 29 from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Red Cross is always in need of disaster trained volunteers who respond to the needs of those individuals devastated by disasters, such as home fires and floods. The Red Cross is also in need of volunteers trained to help in our community in the event of a large scale disaster such as the Front Street fire. Office volunteers and community event volunteers are also needed.

To register (required) for the New Volunteer Orientation, visit and click on volunteer. For more information call 843-546-5422.
