Think you can cook up a mean mess of collards? Enjoy watching others do the work while you get to enjoy the taste? Either way, you can enjoy yourself at the Mullet Hut on Jan. 26 during the second annual collard cook-off.
The entry list is limited to the first 25 people or teams who sign up by calling Captain Robert, at 843-602-0910 and pay the $50 entry fee.
Participants must bring their own cooking supplies, including pots, pans, serving and stirring spoons and cookers.
The sponsors, A&A Produce and Seven Seas Seafood will provide the forks, serving bowls and judging containers. All judging will be done off-site, but all prep work must be done onsite.
Each participant must cook three bunches of collards.
Judging is expected to start about 3:30 p.m. and tasting for the public will take place at the same time.
