TLC Car Wash gutted by fire

Fire has gutted another City of Georgetown business.

A Georgetown police officer saw TLC Car Wash on South Fraser Street was on fire at about 9:38 p.m. Wednesday and the City Fire Department was quickly notified.

Fire Chief Joey Tanner said when they arrived fire was coming out of the front of the building.

Firefighters spent about 40 minutes fighting the blaze before it was under control. It took another 45 minutes to make sure all the hot spots were extinguished.

“The building is gutted and the center of the roof is collapsed,” Tanner said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Tanner said there was no one in the building when the fire began. There were no injuries.
