Editorial: Ground delivery update

Recently we announced that we would be using a new distributor starting this past Wednesday. Of course, when you make any operational change you have to expect a few things to go awry despite your best efforts to avoid it. With this change we spent months planning, mapping and preparing for the change. Despite that we still had some errors, including a number of missed subscribers.

We never want to see a reader inconvenienced, and we sincerely apologize to any people who were affected. We are also grateful for the good humor, patience and understanding from most of those we spoke with on the phone or in person.

Our wonderful readers understood that things sometimes can go a bit off when you first make changes. In the course of answering some calls we got to know some readers better than we ever otherwise would have.

So again we say thank you for reading, and thank you for calling.
