Low Country Thunder adopts a family for Christmas

  • Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Each year a local bike club called Low Country Thunder adopts a family for Christmas, providing presents and other assistances for the family. This year the non-profit group adopted the Barrineau family, Larry, Crystal and eight-year-old son Cayden, from Georgetown. Larry has been battling pancreatic cancer during 2013. He has received treatment at Duke University. Larry was self employed with very little insurance coverage. With all the doctors visits, traveling and missed work it was going to be a hard Christmas for the family. Low Country Thunder invited the Barrineau family to their meeting in December for dinner and Christmas for Cayden. Cayden had a Christmas tree full of gifts for him. The club also gave gifts for the family’s tree at home, along with a gift card to Wal-Mart that would allow the family to purchase anything they had needs for.
