Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre to hold “Cinderella” auditions

Dancers from ages 6 and up are invited to audition for Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre’s spring production of “Cinderella” this Saturday.

MYRTLE BEACH – Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre will hold auditions this Saturday, Jan. 18, for its upcoming spring production of “Cinderella.”

Coastal Youth Ballet Theatre will cast dancers ages 6 and up.

The public audition will be held to fill up character and children’s roles: elves, pages, butterflies, grasshoppers and ladies and gentlemen for the Palace Ball scene.

Auditions will be held at the Coastal Dance Centre Studio at The Market Common located at 3070 Deville St., Myrtle Beach.

Auditions for young dancers, ages 6 to 10 is from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Auditions for teens, adults and male dancers is from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Female children and teens auditioning should wear solid color leotards, tights and ballet slippers.

Male dancers may wear shorts or yoga pants, a close fitting white t-shirt and white socks. Adults may wear any comfortable clothing.

There is an audition fee of $20.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to complete paperwork.

Dancers do not have to be taking classes at Coastal Dance Centre to participate.

Those chosen to participate will have rehearsals that will be held on week-ends.

Rehearsals start on Jan. 25. The participation guidelines will be available after the auditions.

The “Cinderella” performances are slated for March 27, 28, 29 and 30 at the Beach Church Auditorium, Myrtle Beach.
