Thereís more to Huntington Beach State Park than the beach and Atalaya. For those who want to see it on two wheels, the rangers have organized a series of rides beginning Jan. 10 at 10 a.m.

Starting with a bike safety lesson, the tour via the road system within the park will start at the gift shop and include stops at the north end parking lot, the Nature Center and the Old Entrance Gate before concluding at Atalaya.

You donít need a lot of experience or a particularly high level of fitness ó the trip is at a leisurely pace. But you do need your own bike and it is strongly suggested that you wear a helmet and bring water.

Canít make the Jan. 10 event? Other rides are scheduled for Jan. 17 and 24, and for Feb. 7, 14 and 21.

There is no cost, but park entry fee is required. Just meet at the gift shop ready to ride at 10 on the morning of your choice.
