Drug Enforcement Unit sting nets two arrests

The 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit and county deputies arrested two men on drug charges Thursday night.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Carrie Cuthbertson says 33-year-old Malcolm Myers and 28-year-old Willie Lavon Porcher are charged with Trafficking Cocaine Base, Trafficking Cocaine Base within a half mile of a school and Possession of Marijuana more than first offense.

Cuthbertson said at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday, agents responded to the 3 Door Disco located at 56 Micah Drive in the Plantersville Community because of citizen complaints of narcotics related offenses taking place.

Agents seized approximately 30 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of marijuana.

Myers and Porcher were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center where they are awaiting a bond hearing.
