Early morning fire damages Murrells Inlet home

Chris Sokoloski A structure fire near the 9900 block of McDowell Shortcut Road occured around 6:15 a.m.

MURRELLS INLET, SC (WBTW) - Firefighters were called to an early morning house fire in the Murrells Inlet area Monday morning.

Horry County Fire Rescue members were notified of a possible structure fire near the 9900 block of McDowell Shortcut Road around 6:15 a.m.

Firefighters at the scene said the fire was located at the front of the home.

There no word yet as to the cause of the fire and no injuries were reported.
