Shooting reported in Andrews

  • Saturday, December 28, 2013

Andrews police are investigating a shooting that occurred at about 7 p.m. this evening. We have very few details at this point except that the shooting was reported in the 400 block of East Main Street and may have happened during a robbery. The man shot was transported from the scene by ambulance and was expected to be taken to Waccamaw Community Hospital and then be flown by a medical helicopter to Grand Strand Hospital. The shooting occurred behind the Exxon station, according to someone who was in the area at the time of the incident.
We will post more details when they are received.
