Search being conducted for missing man with dementia

The Georgetown Police Department and Georgetown City Firefighters are searching for a resident of South Island Assisted Living who walked away from the facility this morning. The man is 89-years-old, about 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He reportedly has dementia. He reportedly wandered away from the residential care facility on South Island Road at about 5:30 a.m. We will provide updates as they are received.
