The Georgetown Police Department, Georgetown City firefighters and the tracking dog team from the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office are searching for a man who is missing from a nursing home. Police Capt. Nelson Brown says 89-year-old James Bassett is the man they are looking for in the areas around South Island Assisted Living. Brown said Bassett has dementia and a pacemaker. He walked away from the facility at about 5:30 a.m. He is about 5-foot-7-inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing khaki pants when he left the facility. The search has been taking place all around the facility, especially in the area of Glenwood Street.   Anyone with information should call police at 546-4300 or call 911.
