  • Monday, December 23, 2013

The Georgetown Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the 100 block of Orange Street. The subject is described as a black male in his mid to late 20s and bald. He was wearing a white T shirt and blue jeans with a brown towel over his face. He approached the victim and produced a handgun, said Police Capt. Nelson Brown. "The subject got into the back seat of the victim’s car and demanded money. The victim drove the subject to the ATM at Wells Fargo Bank on Front Street and the victim withdrew money out of the ATM machine and gave it to the suspect," Brown said. The Suspect then told the victim to drive back down Front Street toward Orange Street. "The victim jumped out of the vehicle and the subject fled on foot when the vehicle came to a stop," said Brown. Anyone with information is asked to call the Georgetown Police Department at 843-545-4300 or dial 911.
