Georgetown County firefighters have responded to a structure fire at what was reported as 12411 Carvers Bay Road - near the intersection with Old Pee Dee Road. When firefighters arrived they reported smoke and flames coming from the eaves and windows. Initial reports stated the house was vacant. By 2:30 p.m. the fire was under control. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
