Pablo Alberto Vargas, 23, had been wanted by police since the alleged incident.

According to a police report, officers responded to the Maryville home at about 8:50 a.m. Friday and met the woman who said the incident happened the previous day.

She said she was not able to call for help until Vargas went to work. The woman said she had to walk to the home of a friend to call because Vargas took her phone and car keys.

Vargas, charged with criminal sexual conduct in the first degree and kidnapping has been released from jail under a $45,000 bond.
