Spencer Guerry monument sent for repairs

Spencer Guerry’s monument was removed from Francis Marion Park, on Front Street, Monday for repairs. The repair and repainting is expected to take one to two months to complete. Coastal Monument Company, from Conway will be doing the repair work. Spencer Guerry was the Deputy Chief of Police for the Georgetown Police Department. He was killed in the line of duty. This monument was a tribute to his life and service to the citizens of Georgetown.
