The Georgetown Police Department has begun making arrests associated with an ongoing investigative operation related to the burglaries that have happ......ened in Maryville over the last year. This investigative operation has been conducted by the Georgetown Police Department, the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit and agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Early this morning, a task force of officers, including SLED Agents, agents with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, SC Parole and Probation, Drug Enforcement Unit, and investigators with the Georgetown Police Department, began making arrests.

The Georgetown Police Department would like to thank the residents of Maryville for their patience and cooperation during what has been an unsettling period for them. These arrests do not resolve all the burglaries that took place and our investigation remains ongoing with more arrest expected.

The Georgetown Police Department would like to acknowledge the cooperation of our law enforcement partners who have assisted greatly with this investigation. Today’s arrests would not have been possible without the cooperation of the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, under command of Sheriff A. Lane Cribb, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, under the command of Sheriff Al Cannon, and the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit led by Commander Bill Knowles.
