St. Stephen AME Church opens with Sunday service

The final Sunday in October of 2011, flames destroyed  Greater St. Stephen AME Church at the corner of Winyah and Kaminski streets in Georgetown.
This Sunday, the church will celebrate the dedication of its new home at 2807 Highmarket Street.
Church Pastor Carl Anderson said the guest speaker for the celebration will be Bishop Rev. Richard Franklin Norris. The church was founded in the late 1890s and was at its prior location since 1902.
The service begins at 4 p.m. Sunday.
