Fire guts West End home

Georgetown city firefighters were called to this home on Winyah Street at about 8:45 a.m. today. The fire was reported to be under control at about 9:25 a.m.

A fire that completely gutted a home in the 1800 block of Winyah Street this morning was reported at about 8:45 a.m.
The two occupants were able to get out but one was transported to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. This is the second house fire in the West End this week.
Fire also destroyed Georgetown Family Pizza in Maryville this morning.
