Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown says a man who crashed his car in Maryville this afternoon was thought to be driving under the influence. Brown said at about 3:30 p.m. a "be on the lookout" message went out advising officers to look for a possible drunk driver and a description of the car was given. He said an officer spotted the car on South Fraser Street and got behind the vehicle. He said the driver reached speeds of 60-65 MPH and then attempted to turn onto Aviation Boulevard and hit an electric pole and then ran into the ditch. His name and condition is unknown.
