Johanna Brown, age 93, of Pawleys Island, S.C.
Russell Scott Hardee, age 49, of Pawleys Island died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hardee was born in Georgetown on August 2, 1964, a son of Robert Earl Hardee and Patricia Harrelson Hardee.
He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School and Johnson and Wales Culinary College.
Mr. Hardee managed the restaurant 82 Queen and the Omni Hotel in Charleston, and later managed 82 Queen in Pawleys Island.
In 1988, he opened Island Café & Deli, which just celebrated 25 years in business. Mr. Hardee enjoyed boating, fishing, and traveling to the islands. He was a very generous man and loved spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Pawleys Island are his children, Justin Scott Hardee and Lillian Margaret Hardee and their mother, Anne, of Pawleys Island; a brother, Michael Allen Hardee (Gayle) of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday morning, Oct. 21, 2013, at Pawleys Island Community Church.
Officiating will be the Rev. Lonnie Brazell.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2013, at Island Café & Deli.

Cynthia Parker, age 87, of the Choppee Community of Georgetown died on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Nazareth A.M.E. Church, conducted by Rev. Joe Knowlin.
Burial will follow at the church’s cemetery
Mrs. Parker was born on April 7, 1926 to the marital union of Albert Lawrence and Mrs. Rachel Ladson Lawrence.
She was a member of Nazareth African Methodist Episcopal Church and was active on the Senior Choir, the Steward Board, the Missionary Society and Freedom Six.
Her marriage to Ervin Parker Sr. was blessed with the births and rearing of nine children. Her husband and a daughter predeceased her.
Surviving are eight children, Julie A. Cordray, Jason P. Parker, Mary Ann Brown, Dr. Carrie B. Brown, Martha Cobb, Eliza Linen, Rosa Lee Hazel, and Ervin Parker.
