Yellow Jackets survive against Lake Marion

Andrews High School's volleyball team won a hard-fought match over region rival Lake Marion on Monday night at home.
The Lady Yellow Jackets won the first two games, 25-20 and 25-10, but the Wild Gators came back to win the next two, 25-19 and 28-26.
Andrews won the tie-breaker 15-11 for improve to 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the region. It was the team's third five-set match of the season.
“Lake Marion was tough,” Lady Yellow Jackets coach Kathy Stewart said.
Brooks Cribb had a perfect serving night and scored one ace; Carly Browder was 19-for-20 on serves; Allie Rogers and Raven Giles had two kills each; and Cribb, Shemeika McCray and Tionne White all had saves.
Monday night was a “Pink Out” event, with players, coaches and many people in the crowd wearing pink shirts to support the fight against breast cancer.
