Deputies to enforce traffic laws at Waccamaw Intermediate

In response to numerous complaints regarding traffic congestion stemming from vehicles entering and exiting the Waccamaw Intermediate School via the “School Bus Only” designated roadway, effective October 10, 2013, the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office will begin enforcing all traffic laws pertaining to motorists unlawfully operating on this portion of roadway. This notice is being sent as a courtesy to remind the general public that this section of roadway is closed to through traffic as indicated by signage posted at both ends of the roadway.
