Carvers Bay hosting softball tournament

Come on out to Carvers Bay High School on Saturday and watch some softball.

The varsity girls' softball team is hosting a co-ed softball tournament on Saturday, May 21.

The tournament will be fun, and will help raise money for Bears athletic programs.

Cost for players is $10 per person.

Softball coach Amy Boulton invited all the schools in Georgetown County and some from surrounding counties to participate.

Each team will bat and field 10 players. The players need to be 17 years of age or older. Each team must have at least three girls on the field and in the line up at a time.

No varsity softball or baseball players can play, so the tournament gives others a chance to compete in a fun day.

All proceeds go toward Carvers Bay athletics.
