An employee of the county for 22 years, Hodge has been Georgetown County emergency manager since 2008. He was named the S.C. Among his recent accomplishments, Hodge has worked to revamp the Community Emergency Response Team program and has completed three classes for county staff and the public. He has worked tirelessly to educate the public on the Know Your Zone evacuation initiative.

Additionally, Hodge played a leading role in response and recovery efforts related to the Front Street Fire.
