Gift cards for displaced workers from stores and restaurants were helpful. The S.C. Secretary of State’s office says any such contributions need to be properly reported and accounted for by a registered charitable organization.

Georgetown Communications, parent of the Georgetown Times and other community newspapers and Harborwalk Marina, contributed $25,000 to the Front Street Fire Relief Fund.
