Waccamaw dispatches Lake Marion

Waccamaw High's volleyball team swept Lake Marion on Monday night in the first round of the Class AA playoffs
The Lady Warriors won 25-12, 25-12 and 25-8.
Mags Grafe had four kills and six aces, Sienna Herndon had five aces and Raven Brooks had four kills.
“The girls are working very hard,” said coach Jill Schoen. “We are concentrating on Aynor.”
Waccamaw will host Aynor tonight at 6 p.m.

Around the county

Andrews and Carvers Bay were swept out of the playoffs on Monday. The Yellow Jackets lost Dillon 15-25, 10-25 and 5-25. The Bears lost to Lake View 12-25, 11-25, and 20-25.
